Art
- Art is like problem solving and science in that the outcome is not always
known and that the process is like an experiment.
- Creativity is encouraged through the use of found objects in 3 dimensional
art projects. Creativity can be developed buy approaching each activity as a
new challenge. This approach to seeing the world around you can also be
stimulated by doing mathematical and language based brain teasers. Photo
manipulation and visual puns also enhance creativity. For some
interesting sites related to creativity go to:
- Formal art sessions occur once a week, usually in
the afternoon.
- Students are expected to dress in clothing that
can be washed and will not get in the way of the activities when messy art
activities are done.
- Students who are not focused or disregard
behaviour expectations will be asked to complete art assignments at home.
Students absent for art activities will also be expected to catch up.
