- AWOL - absent without leave - used when something has gone missing
- Doorknob - the student closest to the door who answers the door
& goes down to the office to get things, a coveted class assignment

improve fluency & speed of writing

anything the wish to for a minimum of a minute - a grown up version of Show &
Tell
- Talking Book - a book on audio-tape, we listen to 1 talking book
per term in class
- 'Talking Book' - the student who sits nearest to the cassette
player who turns the talking book on & off when we are listening to it
- V&N - Viewing & Note taking - after or during a video, students
will be expected to write notes
- V&R - Viewing & Reflecting - after viewing a video, students will
be asked to write a reflection piece where they write about what the video
made them feel or think about
