Life Skills

Below are a list of skills that students will hopefully learn by the end of grade 4. Many of the students may already have them coming into grade 4 & that's great. They are listed here not in any particular order, but just as a reminder that sometimes the little things that everyone takes for granted may need to be re-visited once in a while. These are all items that are used by Junior students.

tying shoelaces
folding paper crisply
cutting neatly
gluing neatly
not doodling on school notebooks & work
ripping paper in a straight line with only hands
underlining & drawing a straight line freehand
drawing a straight line & parallel lines with a ruler
writing in a straight line on blank paper
writing a thank you note
shuffling cards
flipping coins
making own lunch
doing some of own laundry as soon as the knobs on the washer & dryer can be reached
