  • Attending the Banquet in Character (role)
    • students have been given a role to play from Medieval Europe
    • they are expected to know something about what the life for that person would have been like
    • they are to come to the feast creatively dress in a costume (at no cost to parents) that would be similar to that worn by a person of that station in society
  • Performing
    • students need to perform at least twice, but may perform more times - alone or in small groups
    • acceptable performances include: magic tricks, storytelling, reading picture books, reciting poetry, puppet play, singing, playing a musical instrument (piano, recorder, guitar, flute), juggling
  • Food
    • every Feast involves food - so does ours
    • students are encouraged to plan with their friends what they are bringing so that a variety of food is brought
    • each student is to bring a beverage - preferred drinks are apple juice (apple cider), grape juice (wine), root beer (beer) or ginger ale (ale)
    • since it is a buffet - each student should bring a heaping plateful of food (if possible)
    • if there are reasons a child cannot share food, that is OK - just send a regular lunch
    • we will be eating with our hands - messy foods should be avoided (remember that there is only 1 running stream to wash hands in, in all the land!)
    • label all dishes that need to be returned, please be ready to wash them in your own castle
  • Honored Guests
    • we would be thrilled to have parents, relatives, siblings, neighbors and good friends of our students come and join us for The Feast from 11:40 to 12:40 ~ we will surely have enough food ~ and we could truly use the help of additional adult hands
    • if you want to drop by at any other time to watch your child's performance, or for the full day - you are very welcome

Yours truly,

Baroness Elfriede Von Fabuloso
