- Nick's Recipe adapted from Nyusza
FETA CHEESE SPREAD
1 Kg. Feta cheese
1/2 Kg. unsalted butter or Margarine
1/2 c. grated onion
1/2 c. mustard (“French’s” or just plain mustard)
4 tblsp. Sweet Paprika (Csemege Not Csipos)
1 tblsp. crushed caraway seeds (very, very optional)
Soften butter and mix all ingredients thoroughly with a fork.
Some people like mixing in anchovy paste or serving this cheese spread as a
canapé with anchovies or BBQ’d red peppers on top.
Makes approx. 1 quart.
Serve at room temperature, but keep refrigerated for storage.
Tastes better the next day.
Note: Chives may be substituted for the onions if a more delicate flavour is
desired.
