LINZER TORTE

Linzer Torte per Elfi's Notes
INGREDIENTS:

14 dkg flour  Mehl)
14 dkg butter (unsalted)
7 dkg icing sugar (sifted)
7 dkg almonds - ground very fine
1 egg yolk
all spice - (piment de Jamaique)?
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves

1 square chocolate - melted
1/2 lemon - grate peel & squeeze juice

DIRECTIONS:
Crumble butter & flour together to a fine state on the board.
Add almonds & icing sugar. Blend
Add all other ingredients & knead into a dough.

Roll out 2/3 of dough
Greae bottom of tortenform & place dough on bottom of round tortenform.
Cover with black currant jam
Roll out rest of dough, cut into strips
Form lattice work & make crust around the edge.

BAKE TIME: 30 to 45 minutes
OVEN: 350 ° F
Round Tortenform - spring form cake pan.

NOTES:

  • stays fresher if stored for a long time not cut into small pieces
