OATMEAL WAFFLES
2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. flour
2 tblsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 melted margarine or liquid shortening
Pour milk over oats & let stand 5 minutes.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder & salt.
Add eggs, shortening, and then the dry ingredients to oat mixture.
Stir until combined.
Pour 1/4 c. of batter for each waffle.
Makes approx. 14 waffles. Can also be used to make pancakes.
