Rock Art Workshops

Our workshops are designed for Students (ages 10 and up), Seniors and beginning Hobbyists. They involve making beautiful & functional items out of rocks and minerals. Led by artisans, beginners learn the fundamentals of rock craft and complete a project in one session.

We will come to your location & set up for the activity. The base fee includes set up, use of tools and instructions. A minimum of 10 participants is required. The material cost depends on the project. This will be negotiated at the time that the session is booked.

Some of the workshops available are:

THE BEAUTY OF ROCKS
  • SCIENCE ... the ART of seeing.
  • This program explores the artistic beauty of rocks & minerals.
  • An interactive workshop, participants can explore a wide variety of beautiful rocks and minerals to discover patterns in nature.
  • A short PowerPoint presentation is followed by a slideshow that is ongoing while participants freely explore the exhibit with the guidance of the facilitators.
Our most recent event was at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Kleinburg.

"Thank you  for the terrific job .. you did on Sunday. The Rockhounds were a success and we received great feedback from visitors big

Geology brought a completely different view to Ed Bartram's work and it was fascinating to see some of the cool rocks you brought."
